Ordered a few tubes of first strike rounds a week ago. just got them in the mail and man do they shoot so much better then regular paint. Are they allowed at the field? If not how come? Tippmann is coming out with conversion kits for them so i think it would be pretty awesome to be able to use them o the field.

They aren't allowed because the fins will keep going and cut into skin.

It's not that, it's because the fins don't break down like a paintball does, therefore we would have a lot of them in common places like in front of the church, which could be dangerous. I too wish we could use them, it would be a unique game changer
Ps: people also claim chrono spikes when changing rounds, but I never saw it as a problem if you chrono with first strikes

ya i heard that they cut as well so i ordered a case and shot the rounds at some of my friends. they were just regular welts no cuts. but hey what norm says go's.

It's not that the cut when you get shot........
It's the shards that are left on the ground after, I can see these in areas that someone might be sliding into a bulker and getting their knees and hands cut.
There is also the issue on chronoing a marker with a normal paintball, then switching to the first strikes which from our testing is about a 30 FPS bump.
