| Subject: 1st fill of new Pure Enegry 3000pis 72ci tank and it leaks from gauge HELP? Tue Mar 24, 2009 8:37 pm | |
| We just had our new HPA tank filled today and discovered it is leaking from fill gauge. Filled bowl with water and inverted to see where leak was. Anyone know how to fix, online service only had 30 day warantee, (has passed) I was told PE would have a year....but was given an incorrect toll free number. So if you have a fix Idea or good phone number for Pure energy let us know. | |

When you say leaking from the FILL GAUGE, where is it leaking from? Where it screws on or around the plastic face plate? If it the face plate, the gauge will need to be replaced. There are fairly cheap 10.00 +/-. Hope this helps - If anyone has any other thoughts, jump it. Norm | |

| Looks to be leaking from the threaded connection behind the face plate. The space isn't smooth (like piping) but more like black telon tape. I'll look more closely when I get home. My son heard the leak and I just put it in water to verify. I knew I liked CO2 better, no this is hopefull just an unlucky circumstance. Thank you Norm. | |

| Let me know It may just need new tape or to be tightened down. (Be gentle!!!) If you do work on it - be sure it has no AIR in it at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Or bring it by next month during (I hope open play day) Think warm thoughts... It helps melt the snow | |

| Unscrew the gauge and remove the Teflon tape. Then apply blue locktight (BLUE! Or it will never come off) and it will seal perfectly as the locktight crystalizes under the pressure. | |
