5 Man Woodsball Tourney - Aug 13th

I know I'm jumping past a few of the up coming scenarios, but wanted to get the word out about the First 5 man woodsball tourney.
Have a team great, get them fired up for the event!! Not on a team call your buddies and make one - Buddies to lazy? just show up, we'll make up teams from the lone wolf players that show up.

We'll be running one or two fields depending on the interest we get.

This is going to be a good day of paintball in the woods for Maine. Jgrass and No.Xtreme you 2 are the first 2 stating interest but are without a team. We're tossing around ideas on how to get orphans like yourselves onto teams. Do you guys have enough people in mind to start your own teams? Would you mind/prefer being assigned to an existing team? Would you rather make your own? There are also orphans on the other forums interested. Orphans with TONS of PB experience.

Lets keep the ideas flowing.

Chris, right now I'm looking at bringing at least a total of 3, so we'd only need 2 more, or maybe only 1 more, so I'll need to talk to some people and see

Right now I am still trying to put together my own team, if it starts getting near the date and I cant get a full roster I will let you know.
It would really be helpful if you could provide the entry fee and paint prices. Many of my possible recruits are asking what it will cost to play before they will commit.
Also rules would help so we can actually practice for the event.
Are you mdifying the 10 man UWL rules for five man?
Will you require players assigned positions and corresponding equipment restrictions such as scout and sniper etc?

Rules for sniper updated Today -

Used by
Sniper Pump – manually cocked Pistol on 12 gram CO2 Holding 20 paintballs or less
• Sniper is only allowed to carry and use 20 paintballs onto the field.(can Not be given paint from other players)

So are you saying it has to be a pistol only?
No that my opinion matters but: I would like to see the rules allow a pump gun "rifle" such as a Tippman SL68 II which can only be allowed to have 20 poaintballs and not be allowed to carry any more ammo or take any more ammo from teammates.
I was also wondering if you are going to give the snipers scout status and allow them to take off 10 seconds before the rest, I think this would allow a neat element to the game where the sniper can actually be used as a sniper.

Yes pump and or pistol Max 20 rounds is what it is. (so two ten round tubes max to be used on the field by the the Sixth (sniper ) player).

i didn't see it in the rules, are fire modes allowed? or is it semi only?

Yes fire modes will be allowed I'll detail these if not already in the rules.....

We also need to see who's in and get a practice day schedule for the teams that will be playing.....

UWL allows Firststrike rounds. Are they ok to use following the rules above for the sniper on the team? Also, sent the registration today via email, can payment be made via paypal?

Hampden Paintball is registered/paid. We are ready to go this saturday. We look forward to our first tournament. What is the total team count? When will a final decision be made on whether the tourney is on?

Sorry to announce that this event will not be happening.
It takes teams to make an event like this happen, it looked like that was going to happen after this event was proposed, but as we near the event it's clear we do not have the commitment to the event that is needed.

For the teams that made the effort to be involved your payments will be refunded, and I'll include a little extra thank you for your efforts.
